The Music Box was started in 1947 by Lou Vacchino, originally as a music store and record bar. They sold music instruments, had a record bar, and sold RCA record players and stereos. They also had lessons for the Accordion - up to a thousand students a week. He also played in a 4 piece band for local events. Everyone in the area knew the Music Box and after 65 years, the store is still going strong. We still are selling music instruments (guitars, amplifiers, pianos and accessories) sheet music; guitar lessons and guitar repairs are done in house.
